We would like to replace libvpx with ffmpeg's ffvp9 decoder.

Shipping ffvp9 for Firefox for Android and Firefox OS is a separate task because we may need to consider different performance criteria and legal questions on mobile.

Note that on Android, where the hardware supports it ; it will use the android's stagefright decoder instead.

I already have completed the task to port ffvp9 within our source tree. 
I don't expect libvpx 1.5 to make much of a difference as even google concedes the improvement are mostly on encoding.

Awesome. Anthony says we still want to keep our libvpx up to date because it is used by WebRTC.
