Steps to reproduce:

If a page embeds an unsupported plug-in, a notification bar with "Additional plugins are required to display all the media on this page" appears. But if it just uses the object tag, sometimes SeaMonkey 2.9b3 "Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:12.0) Gecko/20120412 Firefox/12.0 SeaMonkey/2.9" does not display this bar. Firefox nightly does. Actual results:

Nothing appeared.


Expected results:

The "Additional plugins" notification bar should appear, as it does in Firefox.

This sounds exactly like bug 417467, but it's somehow specific to SeaMonkey. I've tried making other test cases using object tag but this is the only one that has different behavior in the two browsers.

Confirming problem on Trunk under Windows, no problem with Firefox Trunk

In current trunk notification bar appeared on test page, reporter, do you still see this problem on other pages?

Thanks for checking.  That URL shows the notification bar fine in SeaMonkey 2.18b2, so I closed this and removed myself from the flags (I left the whiteboard)
