The U2F interface has been superseded by WebAuthn. As a first step towards removing it, we should add deprecation warnings and gather usage statistics.
Chrome completely removed the U2F interface in 109 (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1737205#c1).
