Affected versions
- 108.0a1
- 107.0b4
- 106.0.1
- 102esr
Tested platforms
- Affected platforms: Win 10 with touchscreen
Steps to reproduce
- Lunch Firefox and reach Wikipedia.
- Select a hyperlink composed of at least two words (long press).
Expected result
- The context menu is opened and all the words in the hyperlink are underlined. None of the words in the hyperlink are highlighted and selected.
Actual result
- The context menu is opened, all the words in the hyperlink are underlined, but the word that was long pressed is highlighted and selected.
Regression range
- I could reproduce this issue way back to 53.0a1. I think it's safe to assume that this is not a regression.
Additional notes
- Also, selecting an image has the same behavior as a simple text selection.
- Screencast attached to observe the issue.
