- I was able to reproduce it only on Win10 so far. On Win11 and Win8 does not reproduce.

Steps to reproduce
- Uninstall all existing Firefox builds, delete all profiles and registry.
- Do a Beta clean install with an en-US build.
- Go to Windows start and start typing Firefox.
- Check the display icon for Firefox Private Browsing.
Expected result
- Same icon as on the taskbar should be displayed for Firefox Private Browsing.
Actual result
- Old Firefox Private Browsing icon is displayed at search.
Additional notes
- Issue reproduces only at search, taskbar and start menu display the correct icon.

If this is a system that previously had a Firefox with the old icon, it may be cached somewhere deep in the registry out of our control. Are you able to reproduce this in a clean environment?
I will try to repro as well.

Can you use use "Open File Location" on the start menu item with the old icon, and send a screenshot of the folder it opens? I have a feeling you simply have an old shortcut somewhere...

I am not able to reproduce it anymore on Win10x64, probably folder got somehow deleted.

I'm going to chalk this up to old shortcuts or Windows cache. Please do re-open if it can be reproduced reliably though.
