Steps to reproduce

  1. Turn on the screen reader (Voice over, NVDA, Orca)
  2. Go to about:addons page
  3. Click on the Add to Firefox button for any of the recommended extensions (eg. Search by Image)

Expected result

  • Every element inside the doorhanger is read once

Actual result

  • “Bullet” word, Learn more link and Cancel/Add labels are read twice

Regression range

Additional notes

  • With NVDA the repetition occurs only for the “Learn more” syntax and with Orca the issue is intermittent.
  • The issue is extended to the add-on manage settings for "Allow this extension to run in Private Window" sentence, that is also duplicated on narration.
