Steps to reproduce

  1. Open an older version of Firefox with a new profile.
  2. Go to About Firefox and hover over Restart to update Firefox button.

Expected result

  • Button is displayed as expected when hovered.

Actual result

  • Button is not hovered correctly.

Regression range

  • I will search for one ASAP if there is one.

Notes

  • I cannot reproduce the issue on Windows 10x64.

I see this bug in Firefox 91 and 92, too. I'm running Windows 11 Beta Build 22000.194.

Kirk, do you know of any changes in Firefox 96 that might have fixed this bug?

I can no longer reproduce this bug in Firefox 96 and 97 on Windows 11 Build 22000, but I can still reproduce it in Firefox 94 and 95.

Hmm, I'm not aware of any changes that would have fixed this. I took a quick look around for likely patches, but I'm not seeing anything obvious.

Resolving this bug as fixed in 95.

I tried to bisect the fix using mozregression, but mozregression disables auto-updates.
