[macOS] Running Firefox from dmg again doesn't re-prompt to install if 'Don't Install' was selected the first time

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open the .dmg and drag Firefox to dock.
  2. Click on the Firefox icon from the dock and choose Don’t Install.
  3. Close Firefox and click on the Firefox dock icon again.

Expected result

  • Installation window is displayed.

Actual result

  • Firefox is opened from the .dmg image.

I think this is working as expected. See bug 1728530 comment 2 and 3. FWIW running through the steps to reproduce you will periodically be prompted to install again, particularly if you unmount the .dmg. We won't nag you every time though.
