Steps to reproduce
- Launch Firefox with a clean profile
- Enter customize mode and drag bookmarks menu to toolbar
- Save the new changes and click over the bookmarks menu to open it
- Hover over the Other bookmarks item in the list
Expected result
- The option is greyed out if there are not entries
Actual result
- An empty entry is shown, and if clicked a blocking sound (macOS) from the system can be heard
Regression range
- Will see for a regression if there it is one

I think this has always worked this way (certainly it does so on 78). I don't know if there's a good way of avoiding this, or if we want to. Up to the bookmarks team. The same thing happens in the menubar menu (without the steps in comment #0 to add the button).

As Gijs says, it has always worked this way. I believe the reason the "empty" entry is there is so that there is a drop target so that if you want to drag/drop a bookmark to the folder, you have somewhere to drop it to.
I guess the only thing that might be different is making a sound, but I'd be surprised if that has changed.
