• key button to have the text swapped to [Next Step] or [Next] as the browser is already set as default;

• key button text is [Make Default];

This is really an edge case so I'm not particularly worried. I wouldn't prioritize this at this time.

This might be more common on some linux OS that set Firefox as the default, so a first time profile would result in it showing "Make Default" even if Firefox is already default. This is instead of the less likely scenario of the user manually typing in about:welcome.

As part of bug 1712802 for showing different initial screen text/button, there are designs for if Firefox is already default. Currently the design says…
