Affected versions
- 89.0a1(2021-03-25);
Affected platforms
- Windows 10, macOS 10.15;
Steps to reproduce
- OS/Browser set to Dark theme;
- Access about:preferences#containers
- Click on the Add New Container;
- Choose the color black for the container;
- Input any name and click on the Done button;
- Click and hold on the [ + ] Open new tab button;
- In the menu locate the newly added container;
Expected result
- with Dark theme the color should be white;
- with White theme the color is black(this is ok)
Actual result
- with dark theme: @step 3 the color is black but at step 7 the color is white;
Regression range
- not a regression;
Additional notes
- attached screenshot to best illustrate the issue;
- the main issue here is the color not being as visible and making it more flexible based on the OS theme;
- UX-wise, a user might be confused as to why the desired container color is not displayed in the picker / or visible in this case.
