ALT+mouse click shortcut doesn't open a searched term in a new window on Ubuntu 16.04

Steps to reproduce

  1. Enter a search term in mega bar.
  2. Keep ALT key pressed and click on one of the search-off engines.

Expected result

  • Firefox takes you to the search results in a new tab, using the selected one-off as a search provider.

Actual result

  • The focus is taken away from the url bar and the menu bar is opened.

Regression range

  • I will try to find it asap if there is one.

Additional notes

  • The issue is specific for Ubuntu 16.04. I can't reproduce it on Ubuntu 18.04 or Ubuntu 20.04.
  • CTRL command can be used to search the term in a new window.

This is not a regression. I can reproduce the issue on Firefox 51.0, using the pref browser.urlbar.oneOffSearches on true.
