Steps to reproduce

  1. Open Firefox with -migration -p command.
  2. Select to import data from any browser.
  3. After importing is complete, close the browser with the X button.
  4. Observe the task manager.

Expected result

  • Firefox processes are closed.

Actual result

  • Firefox processes are still displayed.

Regression range

  • I will search for one ASAP.

Notes

  • Attached a screen recording.
  • If Firefox is closed from the hamburger menu -> Exit the processes are also ended.
  • If Firefox is opened without migration command the processes are closed as well when closed from X.
Has Regression Range: --- → no
Has STR: --- → yes

Are you able to reproduce this if you launch migration not from the command line, but from within the UI? (File -> Import From Another Browser)

Hello Mike!
It seems that I cannot reproduce the issue if migration is done within the UI. The processes are closed as expected when using the close button (X) after the migration is performed.

Unfortunately, nothing in the commit range in comment 3 really jumps out at me. I think we're going to need to hg bisect to get the actual revision.
