Affected versions

  • 86.0b5, 87.0a1(2020-02-01)

Affected platforms

  • Windows 7, macOS 11

Steps to reproduce

  1. Launch Firefox, access any page;
  2. CTRL + P to trigger printing UI;
  3. Expand the more settings option;
  4. (Double) Click on text options from this section;

Expected result / Enhancement suggestion

  • text is not selected;

Actual result

  • words get selected (especially visible on strings with 2 words such as: Fit to page width, Print headers and footers);

Regression range

  • will check if one and provide the info asap;

Additional notes

  • S4 as severity since it has no real impact on usability, just a UI/UX quirk;
  • attached recording to best illustrate the issue;
  • other browsers already handle it as per suggestion.

QA Whiteboard: [qa-regression-triage]

I can reproduce this issue ever since I can enable the new print preview (by setting the pref print.tab_modal.enabled to true) on Firefox 81 and partially on Firefox 80 - reproduced it on Windows 7 x64 and Mac OS X 10.15. Based on this, I'm removing the "regression" and "regressionwindow-wanted" keywords.
