Steps to reproduce

  1. Launch Firefox.
  2. Open an image, then open context menu with right click and select "Save Image As..." menu item.
  3. Click on "Tags" then click Cmd + "+" keyboard combination twice.

Expected result

  • The dropdown from "Tags" textbox looks good.

Actual result

  • An overlap occurs when clicking on Cmd + "+" keyboard combination, see attached screen recording (SaveImageTags.png).

Regression range
I will come back with regression range ASAP.

Additional notes

  • This issue appears also on "Save Page As..." context menu item.
  • After several cmd + "+" clicks the dropdown jumps to the left.

I think this is a system dialog, so it might not be a Firefox bug, but if it is it is a cocoa one. :spohl, can you take a quick look to see if this is a macOS issue?

This is indeed a system dialog and presumably only affects this dialog in aqua appearance. I see that Safari isn't affected. Safari also doesn't use the aqua appearance for these dialogs, which means that we will presumably avoid this issue when we no longer force aqua appearance on (see bug 1623686).

You could file a bug with Apple, although I'm not sure how high they will prioritize bugs for system dialogs in aqua appearance.
