It would be helpful to know whether this is a recent regression. Can you use the mozregression tool to narrow it down?

Is this issue only occurring on Windows 7? what about 8 and 10?

Hey Jean, just looked over win 8.1 and 10 and they both are affected by this. Did looked over Firefox 84.0b4.

I can't reproduce in current nightly.
Seems the same as bug 1679700, particularly because the regression mentioned is about adding the identity colorspace that was added to the shader.
That it happens on Windows is puzzling however, so this wouldn't be restricted to macOS?

Please provide a link to an actual video playing up.

In the about:support attachment it says "Compositing: WebRender". Catalin, can you check if this happens when WebRender is turned off, too?

It sounds like a similar bug, but it has a very different regression range. Driver bugs come in all shapes and sizes...

Sure Jean, this is an actual video that was affected.
Though it seems something got fixed in the meantime and 84.0b7 is no more affected, nor 85.0a1 (2020-12-02), while on 84.0b4 it's still happening.

Sounds like it may have fixed by bug 1678924, then.
