Steps to reproduce

1. Launch Firefox.
2. Go to "about:config", and put the pref browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.asrouter.devtoolsEnabled on true.
3. In a new tab, click on the "Expand devtools" icon from the right upper corner.
4. Find "PIN_TAB_72" message, and click on the "Show" button.
5. From the URL bar, click on the "Recommendation".
6. Observe the animation inside the doorhanger.

Expected result

• A mouse pointer animation, with a pause button is displayed.

Actual result

• There is no animation displayed in the doorhanger.

Suggested Severity

• S3, since this only affects macOS 10.15.

Regression range

• It seems that the issue is not reproducible on 75.0a1 (Build ID 20200304161940), I'll try to look for a regression range asap.

Additional notes

• I was not able to reproduce the bug on other platforms than macOS 10.15, and it might be specific to certain mac machines. The issue appear to only occur on one macOS, from the ones tried, so please let me know if more info is needed here.

The animation works as expected on my end. Bug 1638064 made it so that we rely on system preferences and disable UI animations were possible. Can you check that System Preferences -> Accessiblity -> Display -> Reduce motion is not disabled on the test machine? Thanks.

It appeared that my mac had the "Reduce motion" option checked in Accessibility. After unchecking it, the animation was displayed again. Thanks Andrei, for helping me with this. I'll close this bug.
