  • With Save to pdf the issue is not reproducible

  • With A4 set, the header and footer are displayed correctly, but after changing to any other option and then back to A4, the header and footer position is not reverted to its initial state

Suggested severity

  • S2
Has Regression Range: --- → yes
Has STR: --- → yes

Does mozregression not let you narrow the range further with autoland builds?

  • Unfortunately, this is as far as I can go with mozregression

Hello,

This issue was also reproduced on Windows 10x64 and macOS 10.15.7 with 83.0b4 and 84.0a1.

The easiest way to reproduce this issue is putting the following document in landscape:
https://emilghitta.github.io/TestPages/TestCases/printing_alignment.html

Is this still reproducible? I tried on my Ubuntu machine (running Ubuntu 20.10), and I couldn't repro with latest Nightly; but I also couldn't reproduce with Nightly 2020-10-27 (the date of comment 3), so I'm not sure if there's a variable or step that I'm missing.

We’ve still managed to reproduce this problem with the latest Nightly - 88.0a1 (2021-03-10) - (observable only on the second page, using https://ro.wikipedia.org/wiki/Albert_Einstein article, or the test page mentioned by Vlad in comment 3) on Ubuntu 18.04 (Kyocera ECOSYS P2040dn) and Windows 10 (Xerox Phaser 3020). But, I can't reproduce it on my personal testing machine (both Ubuntu and Windows), although both printers were installed and connected at some point and are still displayed inside the Destination dropdown.

Thanks. Out of curiosity, does it only reproduce when switching to/from "Borderless" page sizes? (I noticed those are the ones shown in the attached screencast -- it goes from A4 (Borderless) to A5 (Borderless) [rendering breaks at this point] back to A4 (Borderless) [rendering still broken]. It conceivable that we're getting confused about the borderless sizes, somehow, and that might be involved in the bug.

Do you see the same issue if you go from e.g. regular A4 to A5, for example? (the variants that don't say "borderless")

(My own printer doesn't have borderless versions of A4 or A5, but I do have other borderless sizes; I tried switching between them & wasn't able to trigger the issue. So clearly the "borderless" stuff isn't the only thing involved here; but it might be a clue...)

Happened to me as well on 95.0b12 with a Deskjet 3700 series printer on Ubuntu 20.04 (default settings), the issue can be seen in the attachment.
