Affected versions

  • 82.0a1 (20200915092930)
  • 81.0 (20200917005511)
  • 80.0.1 (20200831163820)
  • 78.2.0esr(20200817153328)

Affected platforms

  • Windows 10x64

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open Firefox and two windows.
  2. Set one Window in fullscreen.
  3. Drag the other one to the edge for the split-screen and then select the fullscreen window.
  4. Observe the top side of the windows.

Expected result

  • Windows are identical.

Actual result

  • Tab bar is shrunk for the previously fullscreen window.

Regression range

  • I will search for one ASAP.

Notes

  • Attached a screen recording.

Suggested Severity: S4

Has Regression Range: --- → no
Has STR: --- → yes

I tried searching for a regression range on Windows10x64 but with no luck, because the issue is reproducible way back to Firefox 6.0a1 (20011-05-24). I think it's safe to assume that the issue is not a regression.

Has Regression Range: no → ---
Component: Widget: Gtk → Widget: Win32

I'm no longer able to reproduce this on Windows 10 (10.0.19045) or Windows 11. When the second, non-fullscreen window is snapped to the edge of the screen, the first, fullscreen window is no longer presented as an option to be snapped to the other side of the screen.
