Note
- the way this is treated on macOS/Ubuntu seems cleaner; the option is not auto-focused, so the text is there and readable;
- on Windows, the option is selected when opening the dropdown; making the text hard to read, until hovering over other options;
Affected versions
- 80.0b1, 81.0a1(2020-07-28);
Affected platforms
- Windows 10;
Steps to reproduce
- Launch Firefox and Access https://mozilla.github.io/webrtc-landing/gum_test.html
- Click on the Screen Capture option;
- Click on the [Select Window or Screen] dropdown;
Expected result/Enhancement suggestion
- do not auto-focus/auto-select any option;
Actual result
- first-disabled option from the dropdown is selected;
Regression range
- not looking like a regression;
- checked with the test page but on builds prior to 2018-12 the "navigator.mediaDevices[gum] is not a function" so cannot get a proper confirmation;
Additional notes
- same issue on Light/Dark theme;
- attached screenshot with the issue;
- due to the nature, suggested severity is S4.
