Affected versions
- 78.0esr, 78.0, 79.0a1 (2020-06-25);
Affected platforms
- macOS 10.15.5
Steps to reproduce
- macOS and Firefox themes are set to Dark
- Launch Firefox and install "Tumblr Post" (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/tumblr-post/)
- Access about:addons
- Access the Preferences page for the addon;
- In the sub-panels click to open the [Published] dropdowns;
Expected result
- dropdown menu options are readable;
Actual result
- dropdown menu and text is black until hovering over;
Regression range
- not a regression;
- builds prior to 68.0a1 do not allow install of the addon, so can't get a proper check on builds before it;
- as it stands, suspecting it as either on the publisher's side or something overlooked when the current Dark Theme was implemented;
Additional notes
- attached recording with the issue;
- as a check, issue does not reproduce on Windows 10/Ubuntu;
- since it's somewhat of an edge case and might be limited to the addon css-setup suggested severity for this is S4.

Confirmed on Windows 10 as well with a dark theme. On top of that, positioning for the popup seems to be off, which probably means we're not setting some browser element attributes correctly.

Hi Alex, could you re-verify this to double-check if it is still happening?
if it is not reproducible anymore, could you run mozregression to find the bug that fixed it?
Thanks!

Clear a needinfo that is pending on an inactive user.
Inactive users most likely will not respond; if the missing information is essential and cannot be collected another way, the bug maybe should be closed as INCOMPLETE
.
