Details
Affected versions
- Firefox DevEd 76.0b4
- Firefox DevEd 70.0b11
Affected platforms
- Ubuntu 18.04 64bit
Steps to reproduce
- Install DevEd 76.0b4, I used this tutorial:
https://www.addictivetips.com/ubuntu-linux-tips/install-firefox-developer-edition-on-linux/ (I could only install it manually). - Open Firefox Developer Edition
- Right click on the icon from taskbar
Expected result
- Open new window and open new private window options are there.
Actual result
- Only quit and all windows options are available (and Add to Favorites when DevEdition is not launched and pinned).
Regression range
- Not sure if this is a regression, but I will say not, tried with an old beta version 70b11 but the same behavior is there.
Additional notes
- I could not find a way to automatically install Firefox Developer Edition. I suspect that those options missing should be added in .desktop file.
- Nightly is also affected by this but this is because Nightly does not come with a .desktop file (bug 1558762). This could also be the situation with DevEdition.
Jan can you please shed some light here?
