Steps to reproduce

1. Launch Firefox, resize the browser @ half the screen;
2. Scroll down to Language and Appearance;
3. In the top-right corner search for "ar";
4. Click on the Default Font button;
5. Open the menu and scroll up/down;

Expected result

• menu is displayed with all options listed as expected;
• could use a confirmation still on desired UI/UX layout;

Actual result

• horizontal scroll bar displayed, menu limited but extra spacing appears to be added as well;

Yeah we should track it to prevent shipping a new regression. It looks to be a regression from bug 1624608.

:jaws do you have someone in mind to assign this to?

After some local testing I believe it is because some of the font names are really long. For example, one of the longer font names in that list ends with "Inscriptional Parthian" and I'm not sure how long the name is before that part.

As such, I'm not sure how common this is and if it is necessarily a problem. Before this regression, the font name would get truncated with ellipsis. Therefore, I'm going to reduce the priority of this. The solution for this bug is to either truncate the font names or make the dropdown wider to remove the horizontal scrollbar.

Because this bug's Severity has not been changed from the default since it was filed, and it's Priority is P3 (Backlog,) indicating it has been triaged, the bug's Severity is being updated to S3 (normal.)
