  • Firefox 75.0b9 (BuildId:20200325213426)
  • Firefox 68.6.0esr (BuildId:20200305175243).

Affected platforms

Preconditions

  1. Have a master password saved.
  2. Save some credentials for a random website (example: facebook)

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open the website for which you have the saved credentials and leave it open in the foreground.
  2. Open the Browser console.
  3. Restart Firefox.
  4. While the Firefox Browser restarts, quickly focus the browser console.

Expected result

  • The master password prompt is displayed for the main Firefox Window.

Actual result

  • The master password prompt is displayed for the browser console. Focusing the main browser window opens a second Master Password prompt.

Regression range

  • I don’t think that this is a regression. This issue goes way back to early 2018 builds.
