Affected versions

  • Firefox 72.0b7
  • Firefox 73.0a1

Affected platforms

  • macOS 10.15

Steps to reproduce

  1. Go to http://www.nasa.gov/multimedia/nasatv/index.html#public
  2. Play the video.
  3. Click from the video controls the pause/play button.

Expected result

  • Everything works as expected.

Actual result

  • A dotted rectangle appears around the video.

Regression range

  • I don't think this is a regression. I can reproduce the issue on a build from 2016-09-03.

Additional notes

  • Please look at the attached video.
  • It only happens when you click on the video controls.
  • I think something changed within the site and it's not compatible with the browser anymore.
  • I managed to reproduce the issue on Ubuntu 18.04 x64, to0, but you have to resize the browser and refresh the page to reproduce it.

Looks like the video element is initially bigger and the outline of the focusring is computed on the bigger one and never recomputed since then?
