Steps to reproduce
- Launch Firefox, TAP to open the 3line/Hamburger menu;
- Open the What's new menu(s) using touch;
- Press anywhere over the dropdown menu;
- Hold the finger on the menu and swipe between the 3 options for (release notes, lockwise, protections);
- While the finger is over any of the 3 options, lift if from over the screen;
Expected result
- nothing, since the action would be to swipe/hover;
Actual result
- any of the 3 "options" is open in a new tab;
- the menu remains open still;
Regression range
- will provide one asap;
- on initial investigation, 70.0 appears to be unaffected;

I have tested this on a Windows laptop with touchscreen:
The menu closes correctly when pressing any of the messages.
All of our messages are also click targets to enable easier navigation with keyboard or mouse.
