Affected versions

  • 72.0a1 (2019-10-22), 71.0b3, 70.0, 68.2.0esr;

Affected platforms

  • Windows 10, macOS 10.13, Ubuntu 18.04;

Steps to reproduce

  1. Launch Firefox, open DevTools, enable the DOM tab from settings;
  2. Access www.google.com;
  3. Search for anything;
  4. Click on the DevTools-DOM-tab;
  5. Click on any other DevTools-tab;

Expected result

  • swap is instant as per other;

Actual result

  • swap is delayed and loads slowly;

Regression range

  • doesn't appear to be a regression, reproducible on 52.0;
  • at a first check 47.0 and earlier versions did not have the DOM tab implemented;

Additional notes

  • attached recording with the issue;
  • on websites such as Facebook and Youtube(with scrollable content), the issue doesn't appear to manifest (or at least, not as badly).
