Prerequisites:
Set both prefs to true

  • telemetry.origin_telemetry_test_mode.enabled
  • privacy.trackingprotection.origin_telemetry.enabled

Steps to reproduce

  1. Go to about:telemetry#origin-telemetry-tab and then close it.
  2. In a new tab go to about:telemetry#origin-telemetry-tab again.
  3. Refresh the page (in some cases you have to refresh it twice).

Expected result

  • The "Origin Telemetry section is displayed.

Actual result

  • After a few refreshes the "Origin Telemetry section is displayed.

Regression range

  • If this is a regression, I will try to find a pushlog.

Additional notes

  • The button disappears after a few seconds then it appears again without visiting other sites.

Please help to check if bug 1561645 fixed this issue?

I can't seem to be able to reproduce this issue anymore on latest Nightly. I think this might have been fixed by bug 1561645.
