Affected versions
- Firefox 60.7.2esr (20190619235516)
- Firefox 60.1.0esr (20180621121604)
Affected platforms
- Windows 10x64
- Ubuntu 18.04
- macOS 10.14
Steps to reproduce
- Launch Firefox and login to Office 365 page.
- Select Office App Switcher from top left.
- Select All Apps -> Forms -> New Form -> Add new.
Expected result
- A new menu is opened letting the user choose the type of the form.
Actual result
- “Sorry, something went wrong. Please try again.” error is presented.
Regression Range
- Firefox 60.1.0esr (20180621121604) is also affected. I will search for a regression range ASAP.
Additional Notes
- Attached two screenshots on Windows and Ubuntu with browser console errors.
- Firefox 69.0a1 (20190619214046), 68.0b12 (20190619234730), 67.0.4 (20190619235627) are not affected.
- On macOS 10.14 there is a different behavior: after selecting "Add new" button in Forms category, the choices are presented, but clicking any of the choices nothing happens and no errors are thrown in the browser console.

According to the screenshot, event is not defined
, that's the classic window.event
smoke signal. Which would explain why it doesn't reproduce in 67+ (and in theory 66): we support it now.

This may be a dupe of 1560274, I've asked for the OP to verify.

Hello,
I reproduced the issue on older Nightly builds so I tried searching for a regression range but with no luck, because the issue is reproducing way over to Firefox 29.0a1 (2014-01-25) that is the last build that supports login to Office 365 page. That being said I think that this is not a regression so I’m removing the flags accordingly.
I found a fix range if that would help tho:
First good revision: ce32b59b5a491d6d4f417a7fddeed124b5e6a5eb
Last bad revision: 085cdfb90903d4985f0de1dc7786522d9fb45596

Bugbug thinks this bug is a regression, but please revert this change in case of error.

This is not a regression. Clearing the keyword.

Yup, seeing window.event in the range.
I think we can close this. Objection, Mike?
