Preconditions

about:config
and changeurlclassifier.features.fingerprinting.blacklistTables
tobase-fingerprinting-track-digest256,content-fingerprinting-track-digest256
- Go to
about:url-classifier
and click “Trigger Update” in the mozilla row under the “Provider” heading.
Steps to reproduce
- Go to about:preferences#privacy and from Custom section un-check all items expect for "Fingerprinters".
- Access https://zi.media/
Expected result
- The top ad is NOT blocked on the webpage.
Actual result
- The top ad is blocked on the webpage.
Regression range
- Not a regression, I was able to reproduce this on older Nightly build 67.01 (20190211215545) as well, which is one of the first builds with this feature implemented.

It's difficult to determine exactly which blocklist rule caused ads not to appear in comment 0 since different ad placements load with each new page load. I tried reloading this page a bunch of times and the only time I saw ads fail to load was when doubleverify.com
was blocked. Let's use this bug to collect examples of breakage due to DoubleVerify blocking.

If the issue is still reproducible, can you send us the log of firefox, generated by MOZ_LOG=AntiTracking:5,nsChannelClassifier:5 ?

The issue is still preset, but in my case ad-specs.guoshipartners.com
seem to be the domain that blocks the ad from being displayed. I've attached the logs.

Closing this since doubleverify.com is no longer on the fingerprinting blocklist.
