Affected versions

  • Nightly 67.0a1

Affected platforms

  • Windows 10 x64
  • macOS 10.13
  • Ubuntu 18.04 x64

Prerequisites

  • Set the pref extensions.fxmonitor.enabled to true in about:config

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open Browser Console (Ctrl/Cmd + Shift + J)
  2. Restart browser (Ctrl/Cmd + Alt + R)

Expected result

  • The browser restarts without any issues

Actual result

  • The browser restarts, but a few errors are displayed in the Browser Console.
    Example of error:

Firefox Monitor: malformed breach entry. Site:{"Name":"ElasticsearchSalesLeads","Domain":"","schema":1547745032683,"PwnCount":5788169,"AddedDate":"2018-11-17T09:04:54Z","BreachDate":"2018-10-29","id":"30af4ecc-4d08-4d51-8d47-3213e4abec18","last_modified":1547745048641,"_status":"synced"} FirefoxMonitor.jsm:177

Regression range

  • I can reproduce the issue on Nightly from 2019-02-11 when this feature was first landed, so this is not a regression.

Additional notes

  • Sometimes the error are displayed after you create the pref from prerequisite.
Summary: Errors are thrown in the browser console after a briwser → Errors are thrown in the browser console after a browser restart

This error is due to there being breaches with a blank or unset Domain in Kinto. I've deleted them there; the changes are pending review.

This should be fixed now. Oana, could you verify? Thanks!

I still get the error on the latest Nightly 67.0a1 (2019-02-22) on Windows 10.

How about now? If you still see errors, could you share all of them here or in a paste?

I retested everything using the latest Nightly (2019-02-28) on Windows 10 x64, Ubuntu 18.04 x64 and macOS 10.13. The error is not showing anymore. I think this bug might be fixed.
