Steps to reproduce
- Access http://www.pdf995.com/samples/pdf.pdf
- Scroll down and Double click on the word APPROVED;
- Click in the awesomebar or outside the browser;
Expected result
- Selection remains on the text, even as disabled;
Actual result
- Selection is offset by a few pixels;
Regression range
- not a regression;
- on builds older than the 55th version (ex 54, 53)
Additional notes
- attached screenshot with the issue;
- macOS 10.14 not affected;
- disabling other css properties on the element affect/reset the selection but the text still remains in place .. but that might be expected for Firefox.

Hey Jonas, are you sure that the issues are the same?
My report was around the fact that the selection is offset; while the bug marked dupe after refers to the selection color.
Or the fix for both issues can be implemented for it?

Yes, it's essentially the same underlying issue; see https://github.com/mozilla/pdf.js/blob/dfe7d9bc26548cb8ad6ff09eb66efa85ce248bb9/web/viewer.css#L1312-L1314
