[Affected versions]:
- 63.0.2, 64.0b4, 65.0a1

[Affected platforms]:
- Win 8.1, macOS 10.11, Ubuntu16.04LTS

[Steps to reproduce]:
1. Launch Firefox;
2. Access about:preferences
3. Zoom in to the max value (CTRL +);
4. optional: Adjust the browser to half the screen width(horizontally)

[Expected result]:
- content is properly displayed;

[Actual result]:
- the left section has padding that is not needed, or can be decreased in width;

[Regression range]:
- will check asap;
- 56.0 doesn't have that much space, content looks fine;

[Additional notes]:
- attached screenshot with the issue;
- step 4 is marked as optional to better illustrate the issue;
- reasoning is that, if the left section wouldn't be so wide more content could be displayed.
Priority: -- → P5
Marking fix-optional for 64. We could still take a patch in 65.

[Regression range]:
- last good: 2017-08-08
- first bad: 2017-08-08
- introduced with the style update, see new attachment;

[Notes]:
- attached a better screenshot image to illustrate the changes;
- the old versions where more responsive to the scaling;
Marking fix-optional for 65 and 66 so that these already triaged issues don't show up repeatedly in weekly regression triage. Happy to take a patch in nightly.
Severity: normal → S3
