[Affected versions]: - Nightly 63.0a1 - Beta 62.0b20 - Firefox 61.0 [Affected platforms]: - Windows 10 x64 - macOS 10.13 - Ubuntu 16.04 x64 [Steps to reproduce]: 1. Open a Private window. 2. Open "Firefox Home Page" by using Ctrl + click on the icon. 3. Observe the new opened window. [Expected result]: - The new opened windows is still private. [Actual result]: - Just a regular window is opened. [Regression range]: - I don't think this is a regression. I can reproduce this behaviour even on Nightly from 2013-12-03. [Additional notes]: - The mind set when you are doing these steps is to open to home page in a private window. - I've notice that this behaviour is not reproduced on Chrome.

What causes you to believe that the new page is not private?

The first indicative that I noticed was that the symbol for Private Window (white mask in a purple circle in the upper right corner of the browser) does not appear on this window. Then I did some tests. Then I used a clean profile and I navigated to some sites in that window. When I checked the history, every site I visited was listed and that doesn't happen if you are in a Private Window. If you have any more questions please don't hesitate to ask me.

What steps are you following on mac? When I hold the Command button and click the home icon in Firefox's toolbar, I have a new tab open in the current window.
