Clearing priority as this needs proper triage, if this is a regression it may actually be a P1.

Mozregression pointed to this push log: https://hg.mozilla.org/integration/mozilla-inbound/pushloghtml?fromchange=95245d5d7560d1a858c0ec80c4da820dfb182063&tochange=66a85897ecb2d7b1a8b533a657b6767b117a262e Also I verified on Ubuntu 16.04 and the issue is Not reproducible.

Bug 1427350 looks like the most plausible candidate in that range.

That version of Ubuntu is quite old on the other side, isn't it? I wonder if it's reproducible on a more modern version. We should verify.

I can't reproduce this locally on a more modern version of Linux. From the sound of it, it may be a window manager issue triggered by the code changes, that may have been fixed in modern distributions. According to <https://www.ubuntu.com/info/release-end-of-life>, 14.04 is an LTS release supported for another year with maintenance updates only. I don't know how much effort it would be to debug the cause of this on that specific release for someone familiar with Linux.

Downgrading priority given the comments here and the fact that this hasn't seen any activity in some time
Priority: P1 → P5

I think with 14.04 being so old now and no new reports, I don't think we would go back to try to fix this. Therefore closing as wontfix to reflect reality.
