Too late for a fix in 53.
Jet, can you help find someone to investigate? I couldn't figure out anything from the regression range. Maybe you can spot the culprit though.

I'm seeing the same effect on Nightly 55 & Google Chrome as well. I may be missing other steps?

Hello Jet,
Here is a screen cast with the issue: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B-cUbHVNThEKWkw1WDdXNVRPckk . It can be noticed that on Firefox the page is autoscrolled on top, while on Chrome, the page is not scrolled.
Please let me know if there is any other information needed related to this issue.

This is no longer reproducible now as the website content seems to be changed.
Mihai, could you double confirm again?

I also confirm that this issue is no longer reproducible on Firefox 57.0b9, or on Latest Nightly build.
Marking the issue accordingly.
