It's very painful to have to click so many times just to enter a date.

Supersearch and signature report forms use flatpicker to pick the date and times. That's not type-friendly. I'm looking at dropping flatpicker for HTML's date and time input fields. I'm testing it out now and it seems more type and tab friendly to me.

I'm going to make this bug depend on that one.
