User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:45.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/45.0 Build ID: 20160407164938 Steps to reproduce: Going to https://zbigz.com/ with Firefox causes huge memory usage spikes. Does not do this in Opera. Tried another Firefox instance on another computer, same issue. I made a video to demonstrate: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/63231818/firefoxbug.mp4 Actual results: Firefox allocates huge amounts of memory, causing the Windows system to slow down. Expected results: A web page should not be able to cause Firefox to do this.

Hi. Still does it in safe mode with a brand new profile: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/63231818/firefoxbug2.mp4 Seems to do it when you type.

Regression from 41. We are unlikely to fix this in 46 but could still take a patch on other branches.

I took a look at this. The website is making a 40000x40000 box shadow along with a 40000x40000 border-radius. At least on my machines, we can't create a surface that big and don't draw the box shadow as well. Safari does this also. Chrome / Edge do something special to draw box shadows along rounded rects, which I'm not sure how they do this. I also took a look at ESR 38 and it should suffer the same problem. I'm not sure this is a real regression.
We should stop tracking.

The site is using this gigantic box-shadow/border-radius to achieve a kind of neat design element: https://cloudup.com/cJ4fxYCALPN. That said, I think we should just ask them to consider other ways, such as SVG or a static graphic given that Firefox and Safari struggle with it.
