(Keywords: access, icon)

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:44.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/44.0
Build ID: 20160123151951

Steps to reproduce:

I updated Firefox to 44.0, then opened it.

Then I noticed that my UI became...considerably less user-friendly. I have the misfortune of using Windows 7.

Actual results:

I have my browser buttons set to Icons and Text. They no longer show the full text, but I need them to.

Expected results:

When the buttons are set to Icons and Text, they should show the full text. This does work if the buttons are set to text only. I have this problem with multiple profiles (at least three).

I attempted to repair this with the Classic Theme Restorer add-on, but none of the options for buttons had the desired behavior.

We don't support setting the toolbar style for the main navigation bar to "Text & Icons" anymore. If you need this functionality, you should use an add-on like classic theme restorer. If that add-on doesn't work correctly, please file a bug against it, not Firefox. Thank you!

Then why is the option still available in the customize window?

Also, where do I file a problem that this change was not mentioned on https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/44.0/releasenotes/ ?

It isn't. If you're seeing it, it's there because of an add-on.

It is impossible for us to predict and test every single add-on's interaction with Firefox and what might change as a result, and it also would be very confusing if we changed the release notes to include information about add-ons that most people don't have installed. Changes to the functionality of the add-on should have been announced by the add-on author.
