User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_11) AppleWebKit/601.1.56 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/9.0 Safari/601.1.56

Steps to reproduce:

Enable 'Speak selected text' in OS X.
- System Preferences -> Speech -> Text to Speech,
- Enable 'Speak selected text when key is pressed' with an appropriate shortcut key. I use Shift+Command+R
Open Nightly, navigate to any page with selectable text, e.g., https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/nightly/firstrun/
Highlight text with the mouse.
Press the 'speak selected text' key sequence.
Observe that OS X speaks your selection out loud.
Repeat the key sequence, and subsequently try selecting other text and pressing the 'speak selected text' key sequence.

Actual results:

OS X speaks the contents of random off-screen text field. Often "would you like to improve your search experience with suggestions visit https://www.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/nightly/ https://addons.mozilla.org/addons/"

Expected results:

The selected text is spoken out loud.
I previously reported a similar regression in 2012, https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=750954 , but the symptom of this one seems to be different.

I attempted to download older versions of Nightly to see where the problem began to occur, I had previously not observed the problem while using Firefox daily before the release of OS X 10.10, but Nightly binaries older than about July 1, 2015 will not run on my Mac running OS X 10.11.
