We don't have builds available for doing a standard regression window on Aries due to bug 1133074. According to our smoke test team, this issue does not occur on yesterday's build. So we have a rough nightly window of:

Robert can you take a look at this issue and determine if the changes for bug 1143575 could be the cause here.

Nicholas I was informed you may have some insights here as well.

What is an "Aries"? I have a Flame, does this bug show up on that? (I'm out of the office until next week.)
Flags: needinfo?(roc)
Aries is the new reference device. It does not occur on Flame.

QAnalysts are not set up to apply Gecko patches. Could you perhaps create an Aries build with that patch for us to test? Thanks.

Hmm, I tried to build the aries build locally, but I am keep getting the build error. Naoki, could you help us out with making a custom build in taskcluster?

Thanks for setting up the build, Naoki. However we are unable to reproduce this bug on today's Aries build (RC4 > OTA to dogfood-latest), and we're also unable to repro the bug on the build provided on comment 13.

Consulted with reporter and they originally saw the issue on Aries Lollipop. If you could please get the patch on comment 8 applied to an L build so we can cover that base. Thank you.

Tested with an updated Aries L build from Naoki, confirmed that this issue is no longer reproducible. Closing as WFM.
