User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/41.0.2272.101 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce: FF 40.0a1 (2015-03-31) 1. Visit any web page 2. Press and Hold Alt, Press the A Key. Actual results: It selected everything Expected results: Nothing. Control A should do select all not Alt A.

Can you restart Firefox in safe mode, and try to duplicate this behavior? I can't duplicate this in Nightly.

Yep. I can replicate in safe mode DISTRIB_ID=Ubuntu DISTRIB_RELEASE=14.04 DISTRIB_CODENAME=trusty DISTRIB_DESCRIPTION="Ubuntu 14.04.2 LTS"

It is reproducible with latest Nightly 40.0a1 under Ubuntu 12.04 LTS 32-bit, as expected, according to http://www.accessfirefox.org/Firefox_Keyboard_and_Mouse_Shortcuts.html .

Ah, different keystrokes x-platform.. Fair enough.. This can be closed and I will change the keystroke used in the web app to something else.
