We're currently using Django 1.6, but it's going to slide into unsupported territory soon.

Given that we're now on Python 2.7, we can upgrade to Django 1.7.

Assigning this to Ricky.

There are a bunch of bugs that block this that I think need to be done first. Some of them might be minor projects (e.g. upgrade celery). It's likely we're missing some things, too.

Making this 2 points retroactively. There's a bunch of work done in this bug, but I think most of the work was done in other bugs.

Ricky: Please fix that if it's not correct.
