to enhance elder/visually impaired people's accessibility.

Current:

dialer use the toneplayer and gTonesFrequencies to play tones when keypad is pressed. 


Expect:
Make dialer able to play a short voice clip when keypad is pressed

make it customizable and enable vendors to customize the keypad press to piano sound or human voice.


ex:

press a key and use my voice to 'read loud' what I've entered.

technically yes, but it's not easy to land to master because we need to use DTMF on dialing.

I think we should also write a sounder interface for DTMF and custom sound effect. Once having it, we can switch them by change the implementation.

OK, I misunderstood this bug earlier. I thought this was a feature that was about to land, and you were asking how this affects accessibility. Now I see it is a proposed accessibility feature. I guess this would not be a bad feature, but it should be judged on its own merit, not as an accessibility "requirement".
